Considering the size and efficiency, it was decided to buy an alternator instead of building one.
Looked for alternator online. The new alternator was decided to be as follow.

Description of new alternator:
- Generates 1 volt/50 RPM(Revolutions Per Minute)
- Maximum output is approximately 12 VAC
- Alternator will output AC voltage so a rectifier is needed to convert it into DC voltage
- Dimensions: 42mm diameter * 23mm thick
- Flange mounting holes on 50 mm centers
- 3 mm diameter x 13 mm long shaft
- 18 mm diameter 20 tooth gear
