A: A cell phone requires 5V and at least 1A to charge.
Q2: How does magnetic induction of voltage work?
A: When a magnet is moved relative to a wire, voltage is induced within the wire by the change in magnetic flux passing through it.
Q3: How can AC be converted into DC?
A: AC can be converted to DC by connecting a rectifier in series.

A: Voltage transformers can be used to either step up or step down voltage. They can only be used on AC. They take in primary current and let it run through coils which are wound around the iron core. Since they are using AC(Alternating Current), the magnetism in the core is also changing. The output wire has more/fewer coils and the magnetism changing makes a current in the wire, so more/fewer coils means more/less voltage. Therefore, the voltage is stepped up/down.
